We perform all surgical procedures in a fully equipped equine operating theatre with experienced veterinary anaesthetists, followed by intensive aftercare at the hospital. We accept many referral cases from other practices in the region, which makes up around 30% of our caseload.
At Morphettville Equine Clinic, in 2007 we operated 478 times, which makes us one of the busiest equine surgeries in Australia and certainly the busiest in South Australia.
Dr. Bill Marmion and Dr.Todd Booth carry out our surgery. Dr. Marmion is a Member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists (Equine Surgery) and Todd is an Australian, European and RCVS recognised specialist in Equine Surgery.
Surgical procedures performed in the Clinic include:
- Orthopaedic
- Colic
- Airway
- Head and neck
- Skin grafting
- Gynaecological surgery
- Laparoscopic surgery
