We examine many horses for lameness, both from the surrounding racing stables and pleasure and competition horses. We also undertake many lameness examinations on a referral basis from all over the state and from Victoria and the Northern Territory.
Lameness investigations often require multiple nerve blocks performed in the clinic with the backup of digital radiography and high definition digital ultrasonography as required. Such cases are often time consuming and are best admitted to the hospital for lameness evaluation.
